…you do not talk about fight club.
yes, stalemates street league 4 felt like fight club. it was dark. it was loud. it was just a bunch of guys hitting the mat purely for the love of the sport.
among the attendees were ncaa all-americans, wrestlers-turned-coaches, an olympic prospect, mma fighters, and even a world champ.
between the great matches, the hospitality by the stalemates crew, and the comprehensive cross-section of fans present, this may have been the most authentic wrestling event i’ve been able to photograph.
when i shoot wrestling, I like to get close. unfortunately, most events today don’t allow for photographers to get up close & personal.
but at street league 4, i couldn’t get close enough.
